Hi!
We want to start by saying thank you for considering us to be adoptive parents. We have the biggest heart for you and truly admire you and your decision for your child. Even though this may be a difficult time in your
life, we would be honored to help ease some of the anxiety by providing a loving, safe, and fun home for your child to grow up in. You are so brave for making the decision that you have & we have the utmost respect for where you’re coming from. We believe God has a plan for everything and He puts people in our lives for reasons we would have never expected. When it comes to parenting, our priority is for your child to know just how much they are loved by us, by you, and by God. We say “I love you” a lot in our family! Our dream for your child is that they grow up in a home they know is safe and secure while still feeling like they have every opportunity to spread their wings and enjoy all life has to offer.
Our Story
-
After being married four years, we have not been able to have biological children. Ultimately, we deeply want to have a family. Since before we were married, we had discussed adoption as a possibility. Children are such a gift from God and after finding out that we would likely not be able to have biological children of our own, adoption was an easy choice. We wholeheartedly believe adoption is an admirable decision for birth mothers and want to support that decision in every way we can. We have always wanted kids and God’s plan for us has proven to be that they will come through adoption. Now, we couldn’t be more excited!

Our Adventures
-
We do a lot of things around the farm together whether it be taking care of the cows or chickens or going on walks around the property. We enjoy being outside and enjoying the beautiful sunsets at night! With the beautiful views, it is nice to sit back and watch the animals while eating dinner as the sun goes down. We like to have our niece and nephews over to play as often as possible. We also belong to a square dance club so any chance we have to dance together we take. At the end of the day, we have the kind of relationship where we can be doing just about anything together and it can be quality time; whether that is working our farm store together or going to dinner and dancing, we simply enjoy each other’s company.

My Wife
-
Told by Wesley
I admire how my wife is extremely strong while at the same time being very soft-hearted. It’s a hard combination to describe but she has a way of making you feel very warm while it seems like she has the power to move mountains. Sarah is a great homemaker – she keeps our house full of love with great smells from the kitchen while somehow keeping everything clean in the meantime. One of my favorite things that Sarah makes is Beef Wellington. I also love the homemade ice cream she makes in the summer! She is strong in her faith in God and doesn’t cower in the face of hardship. I love her smile and her laugh. I know she pushes me to be a better man and sincerely wants what’s best for me. Any time I’m feeling overwhelmed, she makes every effort to slow things down at home and enjoy our time together. Sarah is genuinely the best person I have ever seen with children. She loves them and they love her back immediately. She is playful, observant, and patient in all aspects of her interactions. I know Sarah is looking forward to nearly every aspect of being a mother through adoption. Any child would be hitting the jackpot to have her as their mother!

My Husband
-
Told by Sarah
Wesley is an amazing husband. He is loving, faithful, very hard-working, and is always putting others first—especially me and our families. Wesley always makes me feel protected and loved. And, I know he will be the most protective father anyone could ask for. I love his laugh and sense of humor. He is very outgoing and knows how to make friends with anyone. He is also very thoughtful and will go out of his way to get me coffee or flowers on his way home from work or put some of his things to the side to help with something around the house. He is also very passionate about his faith. Together we push each other to be better every day. He balances me well in the fact that he is very level-headed. Any time I am feeling anxious or stressed, his calm demeanor is comforting and can put me at ease. I can’t wait to see Wesley become a father. He is fantastic with kids now and we have several nieces and nephews who adore him! They are always asking to play “bull-riding” with Uncle Wesley. One of the kids will get on his back in the living room or yard and one will be the “bull-fighter” and then they ride him around and chase him laughing the whole time.

Our Pets
-
We have lots of animals around the farm. There are two dogs: Willie (a Great Pyrenees) and Goose (a Blue Heeler). The dogs are very nice, especially Willie. He is a big teddy bear when it comes to kids – they love to ride him and pet his white fur; he also loves it. We have a couple of barn cats and quite a few cows. The dairy cows are tame and know people very well. The beef cows get to know us but are not pets quite the same way as the others!

Our Home
-
We live in Northern Colorado on a farm that adjoins three other farms of our family members. We have a one story three bedroom, two bathroom home with a walk-out basement. There is space all around us so it is perfect for kids to run and play. In the summer, we have large trees that are full of leaves and there is green all around us! In the winter, we have a cozy basement with a pellet stove that makes for a perfect night to watch a movie. Any time of the year you can walk into our home and catch a whiff of something delicious from the kitchen. There are pictures of our wedding day, our families, and faith-based art that can be found on the walls. We feel like our home is filled with a lot of love and would be an excellent place for any child to call home and grow up. Our community might look a little different than most. We have a lot of community within our family and the playground for the cousins usually ends up being on the farm itself.

A Parting Note
-
We are so grateful that you have taken the time to consider our family as a possibility to care for your sweet baby. We truly admire your strength and faith that God has a plan for what is to come. We understand this may not be an easy path right now, but know that we are here for you and your baby. Through our journey so far, we have learned a lot about the adoption process and how beautiful the relationship can be between adoptive parents and birth parents. We are excited to see how that can look! If you choose us, we want you to know from the bottom of our hearts that your child will be part of a family that loves them unconditionally with every ounce that we have. We will make sure your child is proud of where they came from and how they got to where they are. From photos to letters, and any means in between, we will make sure they have the opportunity to know their story and know how strong their birth family is. You are where their story starts, and we want them to know how important that is! God bless you along your journey!
