This is Us

We are both certified public accountants (CPA) and we met while working at an accounting firm back in 2014. We were friends for a few years and through this friendship we fell in love. After a year of dating, Adam popped the question while taking a hike at our favorite spot. We got married in October of 2018 at a semi-pro baseball stadium and even had fireworks at our reception!
Over the years, our relationship grew through job changes, becoming parents to our daughter, Arabella, moving into our forever home, and Mackenzie eventually taking a step back from her corporate job to stay at home full-time.
We have always had a desire to have multiple children. After years of trying to have another child, through lots of prayers and trusting the Lord, we felt a sign from God that it was time for us to pursue adoption. We are thrilled to share this joyous journey with our daughter, as we know she is excited to love this new addition to our family.

Quiénes Somos
Ambos somos contadores públicos certificados (CPA) y nos conocimos trabajando en una firma de contabilidad en el 2014. Fuimos amigos durante algunos años y a través de esa amistad nos enamoramos. Después de un año de noviazgo, Adam hizo la propuesta mientras caminábamos en nuestro lugar favorito. Nos casamos en octubre de 2018 en un estadio de béisbol semi-profesional ¡y hasta tuvimos fuegos artificiales en la recepción!
Con los años, nuestra relación creció a través de cambios de trabajo, convertirnos en padres de nuestra hija Arabella, mudarnos a nuestra casa permanente y que Mackenzie eventualmente dejara su trabajo corporativo para quedarse en casa a tiempo completo.
Siempre hemos tenido el deseo de tener varios hijos. Después de años intentando tener otro, y tras muchas oraciones y confiar en el Señor, sentimos que Dios nos mostró que era momento de seguir el camino de la adopción. Estamos emocionados de compartir este viaje con nuestra hija, pues sabemos que ella también está ilusionada de amar a este nuevo miembro de la familia.
Hobbies and Interests

Working out at the gym down the street. We primarily do HIIT and weightlifting
Family game nights (we love Sleeping Queens, Sorry and Sequence)
Anything outside - walking our dog, bike rides, parks, swimming, sports, fishing
Making homemade meals - Arabella loves to help cook and bake. Our favorite is steak on the grill and sourdough pancakes
Co-leading Bible study with a group of young couples
Coloring and making crafts with our daughter
Watching movies together with yummy snacks
Hosting family and friends for football games, holidays, birthday parties, grill outs
Going out for a round of golf as a family
Traveling - we love to spend a week up north on the lake or go down south on a beautiful beach

My Wife

Mackenzie is nurturing, steady, a fantastic cook, unwavering in her faith and my best friend. I wake up every day and thank God she is my wife. She is the rock in our house and keeps our family schedule full doing fun things all the time. So much that sometimes it's hard for me to find time to cut the grass!
She has a real motherly instinct about her that I absolutely trust and follow. When we brought Arabella home from the hospital when she was born, her new-found superpower was on full display. It didn't matter that she may not have slept a wink the night before, she was right there loving on our baby with her heart so full and ready to pour out her love and affection every single day.
Most days, when I get home from work I find her outside in the neighborhood supervising a bunch of the neighborhood kids, or somewhere in the house giving Arabella her undivided attention. It gives me great comfort knowing that her #1 most favorite thing in the entire word is simply - being a MOM.

Mi Esposa Por Adam
Mackenzie es cariñosa, constante, una cocinera fantástica, firme en su fe y mi mejor amiga. Me despierto cada día agradeciendo a Dios por ser mi esposa. Es el pilar de nuestra casa y mantiene siempre lleno el calendario con actividades divertidas. ¡A veces tanto que me cuesta encontrar tiempo hasta para cortar el césped!
Tiene un instinto maternal natural en el que confío plenamente. Cuando trajimos a Arabella del hospital, su nueva “súper-habilidad” brilló por completo. No importaba si no había dormido nada, siempre estaba lista para entregarle todo su amor y ternura a nuestra hija.
La mayoría de los días, cuando llego del trabajo, la encuentro en el vecindario supervisando a los niños o dentro de la casa dándole a Arabella toda su atención. Me da gran paz saber que lo que más ama en este mundo es simplemente – ser MAMÁ.
My Husband

Told by Mackenzie
Adam is hard-working, intelligent, loving and funny. Family is his number one priority and he works hard to make sure we are provided for. Watching him become a father has been one of the greatest things I have had the privilege of witnessing. He has such a unique and special bond with our daughter. He makes even the most mundane tasks such as brushing teeth before bedtime fun. Each night he gives Arabella a horsey ride to bed and he doesn't take the role of horse lightly. His favorite type of jokes are puns - they are ridiculous but you can't help but laugh.
There's not a day that goes by that he doesn't give me a hug or kiss before he leaves. Even if it's at the break of dawn on his way out the door to catch some fish with friends. He speaks highly of his family and friends and will do anything for them. If you need a ride to the airport at 3am, help moving on a beautiful weekend in the summer, have a question about your taxes, Adam is your guy. He'll do it with a smile on his face and never complains.
I can't wait to see him become a father again. He will always find little ways to show his love and I look forward to the special bond he creates with another child.

Adam es trabajador, inteligente, amoroso y divertido. La familia es su prioridad número uno y se esfuerza por asegurarse de que tengamos todo lo necesario. Verlo convertirse en padre ha sido uno de los mayores privilegios de mi vida. Tiene un lazo muy especial con nuestra hija. Convierte hasta lo más rutinario, como cepillarse los dientes, en algo divertido. Cada noche le da un paseo de “caballito” hasta la cama ¡y no se lo toma a la ligera! Sus chistes favoritos son juegos de palabras – son tan malos que no puedes evitar reír.
No hay un solo día que no me dé un beso o un abrazo antes de salir, incluso si se va al amanecer para ir a pescar con sus amigos. Habla con orgullo de su familia y amigos, y siempre está dispuesto a ayudar. Si necesitas un aventón al aeropuerto a las 3am, ayuda para mudarte un fin de semana o una consulta sobre impuestos, Adam es tu persona. Lo hará con una sonrisa y sin quejarse.
No puedo esperar a verlo ser padre otra vez. Siempre encuentra pequeñas maneras de demostrar su amor y sé que tendrá un vínculo muy especial con otro hijo.
Meet Arabella

She is a sweet, loving, caring, funny five year old that brings a smile to everyone's face. She can be shy at first but once she opens up you cannot get her to stop chatting! She loves to read books, sing and dance to "princess songs", play outside with the neighbors, make crafts, ride horses, play board games, bake a loaf of sourdough bread with mom, and go catch a fish in the backyard with dad.
She just learned how to swim and ride a two-wheel bike and she has been soaking up these summer days before she starts kindergarten in the fall. She is excited to make friends at school and is looking forward to learning how to read.
Arabella has been praying for us to grow our family for years and we know she will be the best big sister! She is always carrying around a doll and making sure the baby is fed, has a new diaper, and is reading lots of books.

Conoce a Arabella
Es una niña dulce, cariñosa, graciosa de cinco años que alegra a todos. Puede ser tímida al principio, pero cuando entra en confianza ¡no deja de hablar! Le encanta leer libros, cantar y bailar canciones de princesas, jugar afuera con los vecinos, hacer manualidades, montar a caballo, jugar juegos de mesa, hornear pan de masa madre con mamá y pescar con papá en el patio.
Acaba de aprender a nadar y a andar en bicicleta de dos ruedas, disfrutando cada día del verano antes de comenzar kínder. Está emocionada de hacer nuevos amigos y aprender a leer.
Arabella lleva años orando para que nuestra familia crezca y sabemos que será la mejor hermana mayor. Siempre carga una muñeca y se asegura de que tenga comida, pañales limpios y muchos cuentos.
Home Sweet Home

We are located in northeastern Wisconsin and our home is 2,900 square feet with 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths. We have truly enjoyed making this house our home over the years. It is located at the end of a cul-de-sac with other families that have children.
Our backyard has a pond where Adam and Arabella enjoy fishing in both the summer and winter. In the summer we have enjoyed block parties with the neighborhood and the annual Fourth of July fireworks show right from our driveway.
There is a park in our neighborhood that has a pond where we like to catch frogs and a trail where we take our dog, Nova, for walks.
Adam loves watching sports so we regularly host friends and family to watch a game in our garage. We have created many memories over the years hosting our families for birthday parties, Thanksgiving dinners, Christmas parties, and our annual Tree-Hop with the neighbors.

Dulce Hogar
Vivimos en el noreste de Wisconsin, en una casa de 270 m² con 4 habitaciones y 3.5 baños. Hemos disfrutado mucho construir un hogar aquí. Está al final de una calle sin salida, rodeada de familias con niños.
En el patio trasero tenemos un estanque donde Adam y Arabella pescan en verano e invierno. En verano disfrutamos de fiestas con los vecinos y vemos los fuegos artificiales del 4 de julio desde la entrada de la casa.
En el vecindario hay un parque con otro estanque donde atrapamos ranas y un sendero para pasear a nuestra perra, Nova.
Adam ama los deportes, así que seguido recibimos a familia y amigos en el garaje para ver partidos. Hemos creado muchos recuerdos celebrando cumpleaños, Acción de Gracias, Navidad y nuestro tradicional “Tree-Hop” con los vecinos.
