We have so much respect for the brave and loving choice you are making by considering adoption for your child. We are grateful for your courageous decision and for learning more about us. We are so thrilled at the opportunity to share about our family. After we were blessed with the birth of our son, John, in 2021, we felt drawn to continue to grow our family through adoption. In 2024, we adopted our second son, Peter and our hearts doubled in size! Our adoption journey with Peter was such a gift, and we would love to add even more love to our home through adoption. We cannot imagine the strength it must take to consider placing your child with new faces, and we are in such awe of your love for your child. While we are far from perfect, we know we have even more love to share for your child.

Our Story

"I met Jack at a party that his friends were hosting at their dorm room in 2014. You could say it was "laughter" at first sight, because once I initiated a conversation with him, we were laughing the entire night. We quickly realized that we shared a love of cheesy reality game shows and college football. We started going on dates, and the more I got to know him, the more I began to notice the important things below our surface-level interests - his kindness, humility, and devotion to his family. He fit seamlessly into my family, and after five years of dating, Jack and I got engaged in New York."

"We got married in New Jersey, which was very special for us, since it was near my family in Philadelphia. We still managed to have a lot of fun, even though it was a smaller wedding than anticipated due to the pandemic. It wasn't the wedding we imagined when we got engaged in 2019, but we knew we didn't want to wait to be married!"

Our Interests

Long family walks or bike rides in nature - on a beach, near a lake, or on a hike!
Traveling to new places - we recently went on a trip to explore underground caverns and the boys love to go on camping trips with other father/sons in our community!
Spending time with family - whether it’s having our extended family over for big dinners or brunches, it is a highlight of our week!
Sports - our family loves football, baseball and tennis.
Reading - we are huge believers in family read-alouds in the evenings. Our recent books have been The Lord of the Rings and The Fantastic Mr. Fox.
We love going all out for Family Movie Nights - popcorn, candy, soda and LOTS of great classic movies from our childhood!
Cooking and baking - Jack is a wonderful cook and grill-master while Ryann enjoys baking breakfasts, desserts and sourdough bread.
Skiing, sailing and swimming - really anything that gets us outside in any weather!

Meet Ryann

Ryann is the best wife in the world. Whenever I feel down or stressed out, Ryann is there to listen, usually with some food and smiling boys. She's thoughtful, caring, and sweet. Her laugh makes me so happy and she'd do anything for her family. Watching her with our sons has only proven that I made the best decision in my life when I asked her to marry me.
Ryann is the rock of our family. She's always the first one to make anyone feel better and I've never met a more caring person. I think my side of the family is always more excited to see her than me!
Ryann is also the life of the party. She has so many funny stories, is quick with a joke, and lights up the room. She's chatty and outgoing, a nice balance to me.
The way our boys look for her and want to always be near her lets me know how great a mother she is. She is the perfect mom and is always there behind John and Peter, but she also lets them explore and play on their own to let them discover the world.

Meet Jack

Jack was born to be a dad. It takes him less than a second to pull out his phone and proudly show pictures of John and Peter to anyone who asks. The boys light up when Jack walks into their room after work and Jack knows exactly what to do to get them into an adorable laugh-attack! One of the many reasons I fell in love with Jack was that I knew he’d be the best dad and that I know he would never miss an opportunity to tell his children how much he loves them.
Jack is silly and never takes himself too seriously. My husband is a joyful person and always makes me laugh, whether by making up songs to sing to the boys or saying things in his signature fake Australian accent (it's actually pretty good)!
Jack grew up in sunny California and spent summers visiting his mom's family on the east coast. He is happiest being outdoors and loves sailing, tennis, lacrosse, basketball, and biking. Jack has the heart of a husband and father and he’s definitely ready to share even more love with John, Peter and their future siblings!

Our Children
-
John is 4 years old and is an intensely smart and funny child. He loves watching and playing baseball and tennis and running around the playground with his friends in our neighborhood. He loves the outdoors and will choose shorts and a t-shirt over pants and a sweater any day. John’s favorite things include Mater the Tow Truck from Cars, camping, and climbing.
Peter is a 2 year old bundle of joy. He loves the playground swings and playing with big brother’s trucks. He enjoys Saturday lunch dates to Chick-fil-A with Momma and loves to bang on things (pots, pans, drums) very, very loudly. Peter was adopted in 2024 as a newborn!
Both boys are very excited to become big brothers!

Where We Live

Our home sits on a quiet street with a large back porch that everyone flocks to when we entertain. Our front yard has a large tree, flowers and a few tomato and herb plants. We live a short drive away from the most beautiful lake and surrounding trail in the city, perfect for long runs, sailing and bike rides with kiddos!
Our neighborhood is wonderful! It’s in an excellent school district and we can walk to a large park, with playgrounds, a pool, tennis courts and sports fields. The trees in our neighborhood are the best. Our favorite coffee shop and neighborhood restaurant are a 20 minute walk!
A ton of families from our church live walking distance from our home, and are ready for impromptu dinners or play-dates at the park. We hope that the neighborhood and city we chose to live in helps the boys and their future siblings learn the importance of hospitality, thoughtfulness and community.

Our Traditions + Faith

We love celebrating Christmas! We decorate early and have a whole slew of traditions we like to keep, like taking pictures with Santa, giving presents to children and families in our church that need gifts, making a birthday cake for Jesus, stuffing stockings, and Christmas family movie nights!
We usually spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in New Jersey with Jack's entire extended family! There is a huge family shuffleboard tournament, a big ham dinner, and the kids all line up on the staircase Christmas morning for pictures before opening gifts. Nothing beats seeing family at the holidays!
