Our Story

Rebekah has always wanted to adopt, even as small child and shared this desire with Rob before we were married. He also felt excited about choosing adoption as part of our story someday. We currently have three children and have prayed to have five children, hoping adoption could be part of our story at some point. Then for the past three years, we have been unable to become pregnant. We are considering this a clear sign from God to move forward with the desire that has been on our hearts for many years!
We really enjoy parenting and enjoy being around our kids. We would be so excited to parent another child and try to raise him or her to be a person you're very proud of.

Nuestra Historia
Rebekah siempre soñó con adoptar, incluso desde que era una niña pequeña, y compartió ese deseo con Rob antes de casarnos. Él también se sintió emocionado de que la adopción formara parte de nuestra historia algún día. Actualmente tenemos tres hijos y siempre hemos orado por tener cinco, esperando que la adopción pudiera ser parte de ese sueño en algún momento. Durante los últimos tres años no hemos podido quedar embarazados, y consideramos esto como una señal clara de Dios para avanzar con el deseo que ha estado en nuestros corazones por muchos años.
Disfrutamos muchísimo ser padres y pasar tiempo con nuestros hijos. Nos haría muy felices criar a otro niño o niña y ayudarle a convertirse en una persona de la cual tú puedas sentirte muy orgullosa.

We are both "sporty"! We both grew up playing sports and watching sports. Rob played high school basketball and Rebekah played high school soccer. If you have a sports team you love, we would love to help the child be familiar with the team.
We cheer for the OKC Thunder and Kansas City Chiefs.
Rebekah enjoys helping at the kids' school, working out, attending Bible studies, and getting together with friends.
Rob enjoys reading, being outdoors, working out, and playing in the backyard with our kids.
We both love learning about the world and getting to know people. We always appreciate knowing people's backgrounds and stories.

¡A ambos nos encantan los deportes! Crecimos jugando y viendo deportes. Rob jugó baloncesto en la secundaria y Rebekah jugó fútbol. Si tienes algún equipo favorito, nos encantaría ayudar al niño o niña a conocerlo y disfrutarlo también.

Rebekah is an incredibly fun person to be around and an amazing mother to our kids! She values having a good time and ensures that our family is seeking out opportunities to make great memories together. She prioritizes helping our kids have the opportunity to participate in activities like basketball, soccer, piano, dance, and gymnastics, helps with homework, and takes time to listen to each of our kids as they share about their day.
Rebekah is also an amazing leader outside of our home and loves mentorship, whether it's with her employees at her business, girls in the youth group at church, or serving at our kids' school. She is driven to make her life count and leave the world a better place than she found it, and I love getting to pursue the adventure of our lives together!
Rebekah is a small business owner and thankfully only works a few times a year, so she is able to be a stay-at-home mom for our kids.

por Rob¡Rebekah es una persona increíblemente divertida y una mamá maravillosa para nuestros hijos! Valora mucho crear momentos especiales y siempre busca oportunidades para que nuestra familia construya recuerdos hermosos juntos. Ella se esfuerza para que nuestros hijos puedan participar en actividades como baloncesto, fútbol, piano, danza y gimnasia, además de ayudarlos con sus tareas y escuchar atentamente cómo estuvo su día.
Rebekah también es una gran líder fuera de nuestro hogar y ama guiar y apoyar a otros, ya sea a sus empleados en su negocio, a las jóvenes del grupo de iglesia o sirviendo en la escuela de nuestros hijos. I appreciate Rob so much. He is kind, wise, servant-hearted, fun, and loves Jesus. Two fun memories of Rob before we started dating are Rob going out of his way to wash the dishes for a big group of our friends. Also Rob slam-dunking a basketball!
He was also valedictorian of his high school and a mechanical engineering major in college. He highly values education and patiently helps teach our kids. People find him easy to be around because he is very calm and stable.
He and I are best friends and love to spend time together at home. He is a fun dad, has coached our kids sports teams, danced with our daughter, and gives so much energy toward helping our family love each other.
Rob is also an owner of our small business and currently serves in state politics. His role has flexibility, so he helps a lot with the kids and around the house, which I am thankful for!

Aprecio muchísimo a Rob. Es amable, sabio, servicial, divertido y ama a Jesús. Dos recuerdos divertidos que tengo de él antes de empezar a salir juntos son cuando se ofreció a lavar los platos para un gran grupo de amigos y verlo hacer una clavada en el baloncesto.
También fue el mejor estudiante de su escuela secundaria y estudió ingeniería mecánica en la universidad. Valora mucho la educación y enseña con paciencia a nuestros hijos. Las personas se sienten cómodas con él porque es muy tranquilo y estable.
Él y yo somos mejores amigos y nos encanta pasar tiempo juntos en casa. Es un papá muy divertido, ha entrenado los equipos deportivos de nuestros hijos, ha bailado con nuestra hija y dedica mucha energía a ayudar a nuestra familia a amarse mutuamente.
Rob también es dueño de nuestro pequeño negocio y actualmente sirve en la política estatal. Su trabajo tiene flexibilidad, así que ayuda mucho con los niños y en la casa, algo por lo cual estoy muy agradecida.

Meet Lana, Brooks and Shepherd

Lana is our oldest daughter and her personality is sweet, helpful, laid back, and wise. She is a great leader of the kids! She does a great job playing with her brothers and being patient with them. She really loves to read and often reads several books in one day.
Brooks is six years old and is so great at connecting with people! He loves to talk and remembers lots of details about conversations and other people’s lives. He is also a jokester! He loves to have fun.
Shepherd is four years old and such a sweet, rambunctious guy. He says that he loves to play tee ball and wrestle with dad. He has a creative imagination and loves to play with his Paw Patrol action figures. He also loves to pretend to be a dog or a dragon or a rhino.

Conoce a Lana, Brooks y Shepherd
Lana es nuestra hija mayor y tiene una personalidad dulce, tranquila, servicial y sabia. ¡Es una excelente líder para sus hermanos! Juega muy bien con ellos y tiene mucha paciencia. Le encanta leer y muchas veces termina varios libros en un solo día.
Brooks tiene seis años y es excelente conectando con las personas. Le encanta hablar y recuerda muchos detalles de las conversaciones y de la vida de otras personas. ¡También es muy bromista y divertido!
Shepherd tiene cuatro años y es un niño muy dulce y lleno de energía. Dice que le encanta jugar béisbol y luchar con papá. Tiene una imaginación muy creativa y ama jugar con sus figuras de Paw Patrol. También le gusta fingir que es un perro, un dragón o un rinoceronte.

Our home was built in 1994, and we feel thankful to be within walking distance of our kids’ school! We have 4,000 square feet that includes four bedrooms, a playroom, and four bathrooms. There is plenty of room for the kids to play, build with Legos, and do lots of arts and crafts projects! Lana has her own room and our two boys share a room.
We have an empty upstairs guestroom on the same hallway as our other kids’ rooms that would be reserved for a new child! Our adopted child would have this room.
One fun aspect of our house is that we are just down the street from a very large pond, so we see all kinds of wildlife: ducks, geese, turtles, owls, and even an occasional bald eagle! The boys also really love to walk to the pond to go fishing with dad!

Nuestro Hogar
Nuestra casa fue construida en 1994 y nos sentimos muy agradecidos de vivir a una distancia caminable de la escuela de nuestros hijos. Tiene aproximadamente 4,000 pies cuadrados, cuatro habitaciones, una sala de juegos y cuatro baños. Hay mucho espacio para que los niños jueguen, construyan con Legos y hagan proyectos de arte y manualidades.
Lana tiene su propio cuarto y nuestros dos niños comparten habitación.
Tenemos una habitación vacía para invitados en el segundo piso, en el mismo pasillo de las habitaciones de nuestros hijos, que sería reservada para un nuevo niño o niña adoptado.
Algo muy especial de nuestra casa es que vivimos cerca de un gran estanque, así que vemos mucha vida silvestre: patos, gansos, tortugas, búhos e incluso, ocasionalmente, un águila calva. ¡A los niños también les encanta caminar hasta el estanque para ir a pescar con papá!

We read to our kids every night before bed and pray with each one of them.
We have s special plate for birthdays! It is a red plate that says "You are Special" and we go around the dinner table to say what we appreciate about the person who is having the birthday. Rebekah's mom had this same tradition.
Our kids participate in the library reading program every summer.
We attend church every Sunday that we are in town.
We have lots of Christmas traditions: decorating gingerbread cookies, making cinnamon rolls, decorating our Christmas tree, and reading the Christmas story.
We stay in contact with both sides of our family and visit them multiple times a year.
Once a year we try to take a fun trip to a fun theme park or the beach.
Our kids dress up every Halloween and we walk around the neighborhood with friends! We participate in fun Halloween instead of scary Halloween.

Nuestras Tradiciones y Fe
Leemos a nuestros hijos todas las noches antes de dormir y oramos con cada uno de ellos.
Tenemos un plato especial para los cumpleaños. Es un plato rojo que dice “Eres Especial” y durante la cena todos compartimos algo que apreciamos de la persona que cumple años. Esta tradición viene de la mamá de Rebekah.
Nuestros hijos participan cada verano en el programa de lectura de la biblioteca.
Asistimos a la iglesia todos los domingos cuando estamos en la ciudad.
Tenemos muchas tradiciones navideñas: decorar galletas de jengibre, preparar rollos de canela, decorar el árbol de Navidad y leer la historia de Navidad.
Mantenemos una relación cercana con ambas familias y las visitamos varias veces al año.
Una vez al año tratamos de hacer un viaje divertido a un parque temático o a la playa.
Nuestros hijos se disfrazan cada Halloween y caminamos por el vecindario con amigos. Celebramos un Halloween divertido y familiar, no de miedo.
